Important Duty Belt Sizing Information – Please Read Before Ordering

Your belt size is not your pants size — and if it has been a while since you last bought a belt, chances are your size has changed. To ensure the right fit, follow these instructions carefully:

1. Measure Yourself Accurately

Before ordering, put on your uniform pants and your inner belt, then follow these steps:

Use a fabric measuring tape.
Flexible and accurate, it’s the best tool for this job.

Wear properly fitting pants.

• Too loose? You’ll get an inaccurate measurement and a belt that’s too big.

• Too tight? The result will be a belt that’s too small.

Get help if possible.

• Stand naturally and breathe normally.

• Have someone wrap the measuring tape around your waist, right where your duty belt will sit.

• Note the measurement where the end of the tape meets.

If you fall between sizes, round up to the next available size.

2. Choose the Right Belt Size

• Do NOT order the same size as your pants.

• Order at least 4 inches larger than your pants size.

• Order at least 2 inches larger than your inner belt size.

• Our belts are measured from the post to the center hole, with about 2” of adjustment in either direction.
